real hero

Superheroes come in all different sizes

Some are mean

Some are green

Some have cool disguises

Some have muscles

Some can fly

Some can shoot

With their laser beam eye.

But being a hero

Isn’t what you wear

Or whether or not

You can fly through the air.

Heroes are usually

Ordinary folk

They might be rich

They might be broke.

They are regular people

 Like you and I,

Who find strength

When others don’t try.

They are old or young

Who persevere

And look past their doubts

And conquer their fears

You’ll soon have the chance

To get up and fight

Be strong for the weak,

Or stand for what’s right.

But the question is

When the time comes to act

Will you be ready

Or will you turn your back?
